Notes:	American Musicologist and music editor. Brown accepted a position with the musicology faculty of Indiana University School of Music in 1974. Brown remained an active faculty member until his death in 2003. Brown’s name is most closely associated with that of the composer Josef Haydn, writing and co-authoring no less than four books on the composer as well as the critical score for Haydn’s Die Schöpfung.
