Alongside his compositional activities, Delaney taught at several institutions, most notably Northwestern University, where he served as Assistant Professor of Theory and Composition (1945–55). The majority of Delaney’s published works are orchestrated for voice (vocal solo or chorus) or large instrumental ensemble
